Governance
Arcadia Research LGC is a Public Benefit Corporation. That designation is not symbolic — it shapes how we make decisions, what we optimize for, and who we answer to.
Structure
Our governance is built on two pillars: a Board of Directors elected by shareholders, and a Decentralized Governance Council that ensures our work stays accountable to the communities it serves. This dual structure balances institutional rigor with the participatory principles we believe in.
Long-Term Commitment
As a PBC, we are legally committed to prioritizing long-term societal benefit. Our autonomous systems research, our products, and our advisory work all operate under this obligation. Growth that doesn't serve the mission isn't growth we pursue.
Ethics in Practice
Our Policy & Ethics team works alongside every other function in the organization — research, engineering, advisory, and ecosystem development. Ethical scrutiny is not a checkpoint at the end; it is present from the beginning.
Transparency
We share our research openly, publish our thinking, and engage with governments, academic institutions, and civil society. We believe that building systems for inclusive prosperity requires building trust first.
